Aconcagua
This expedition is to the summit of the highest mountain in the western Hemisphere. One of the seven summits, Cerro Aconcagua, towers over all the other peaks in the Andes at 6,930 meters. We choose between the Polish Glacier route and the Normal route based on the participants’ level of experience. Acclimatization is our primary concern on this giant of the Andes. Camping and basic mountaineering skills are tested on this climb. 15 to 18 days are needed to assure enough time to reach the summit with weather and acclimatization variables.
January and February are the best months for this expedition.
